Azar has spent more than 14 years delivering venues and infrastructure for some of the world's largest events: the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Expo 2020 Dubai, COP28 in Dubai, and COP29 in Baku, where he led the delivery of around 150,000 sqm of event infrastructure with a 55-person team. He has managed overlay, power, temporary structures, contractors, and government stakeholders from Perth to Addis Ababa.
Overlio was born from that work. On every project, the same problem appeared: requests for space and infrastructure arriving by email, incomplete, untracked, and impossible to manage. Azar built the first version of this system for his own team, and turned it into Overlio so any event can run its overlay requests properly: structured, visible, and signed off by the right specialists.

What Overlio is trying to be
Software a busy operations team will still be using in week three of an event, when everybody is tired and it has to work without a manual. Fewer screens, plain language, and rules the system enforces rather than asks people to remember.
