What is Overlio
The paperwork behind a temporary city.
A large event is a city that exists for three weeks. Hundreds of temporary structures land on a site, and each one needs power, water, drainage, cooling, connectivity, furniture and a way in and out. Somebody has to ask for all of it, and several somebodies have to agree it is safe and possible before it is built.
That work usually happens in spreadsheets and mail threads, where nobody can say what was agreed or who agreed it. Overlio is the same work with a spine: one request, one reference, one clear decision, and a record of how it was reached that survives the event.
- One request, one reference
- Every request gets a permanent reference the moment it is raised. It goes on the drawing, in the email, and into the conversation on site, and it never changes.
- Nothing approved by accident
- Design, electrical, mechanical and branding each sign off on what concerns them. Until they all have, the approval button is not available to anybody.
- Answers without accounts
- The specialists who have to sign something off act straight from their inbox. No login, no password reset at midnight, no chasing.
- Sealed per event
- Each event is its own world with its own address, its own people and its own catalogue. Separation is enforced in the database, not remembered in code.
